It is morning, a time for Robert Neville to stalk the undead through the wrecked state of civilisation. In the afternoon, he will repair the breakages that have been made by vampires during the night in their attempt to get to him. Each night he barricades himself in, because although he is the hunter by day, when night comes, he becomes the hunted.

Robert Neville is the last living man on earth. Every one else, man, woman and child, has become a vampire, and now it is his blood they are after.

So far, Neville has survived; but for how long...
