- Affordable Housing (SPD2)
This document, as adopted on 12 November 2008, sets out detailed guidance on the council's requirements for the provision of affordable housing in relation to market housing developments, and is intended to increase the supply of affordable housing over the coming years. Now the SPD has been adopted, planning applications for residential development will need to comply with its requirements, otherwise they may be refused. Approval of the document is subject to phased introduction of the full requirements due to concerns over the downturn in the housing market. An implementation plan explaining the phasing arrangements is included with the document.
