About 1-App - The national standard planning application form
1-App explained
The Government introduced 1-App, the national standard planning application form, in 2008. It replaced all local application forms, so applicants complete the same form wherever they apply for planning permission. The Government have also produced advice and guidance notes for most application types to assist completion of the forms.
Online planning applications
1-App is an electronic application form that can be completed online, and complements the Government's Planning Portal initiative which promotes e-Planning generally, and specifically encourages the use of the internet to submit planning applications. If you complete the 1 App form on the Planning Portal the information required for the application is assembled automatically, depending on the type of application being submitted.
Printable planning forms
We continue to receive paper applications. Various different 1-App forms are available to applicants, depending on the type of application being submitted. They need to be printed and sent to us with your plans and fee.
Our validation checklist
In accordance with Government guidance, the council has produced and reviewed a local validation checklist so that all the information required to enable your application to be dealt with promptly is submitted with your application.
