a range of leaflets about town centre planning The Team undertakes a range of research projects relating to town centres
and retail/commercial development. These include economic impact assessments, retail capacity studies, trade draw and catchment area assessments, and analysis of shopping patterns and trends. We have previously undertaken work for and provided advice to a number of Local Authorities, including Liverpool City Council, Calderdale M.C. and Barnsley M.C. Much of our research feeds into the Kirklees Community Strategy (Vision 2012), and a range of other corporate objectives and initiatives.

The Team provides assistance in assessing retail/commercial planning applications, fielding retail development enquiries, providing evidence for planning appeals and giving evidence on behalf of the Council in public inquiries.
