What is a Local Land Charge?
Local Land Charges are outstanding payments that local or central government
can demand from successive owners or occupiers of property or land, or restrictions
on the use of property or land. These include charges for such services as roads,
or restrictions like Smoke Control or Tree Preservation Orders.
Searching this register is often described as a 'local search'. It can be carried out by anyone - usually a solicitor/conveyancer - acting on behalf of prospective buyers of a property.
All Local Authority searches are dealt with by a team with many years experience and a vast knowledge of Local Land Charges and the associated search processes. This team is committed to providing customers with a first class service
