CON29 update - 1st August 2007
(Please note: CON29 and CR21 are local land charges forms that are used by solicitors and conveyancers.)

From 1st August 2007, the new CON29 (2007 Edition) was introduced. The new CON29 comprises Required and Optional parts and customers submit Optional questions individually as required. Each document is a standalone product which can be submitted separately.

Solicitors/Conveyancers may submit both documents together though they do not have to be submitted at the same time after 1 st August 2007.

The new Con29 optional form now incorporates question 22 for Common Land and Village Green enquiries, from the 1 st October 2007 the CR21 form was abolished.
Local land search
Land searches are an important step in the process of buying or leasing a home or business premises and intend to protect you.
Local land register
The register consistes of twelve parts, the main parts and the types of information included.

There are 3 types of searches. A full Search is recommended for all property purchases

Most common land is privately owned, and as such, current laws apply to common land in the same way as private land
