NLIS - The National Land Information Service
NLIS is available to solicitors and conveyancers only and enables an online one-stop-shop
for land and property related information held by many organisations, for example,
Land Registry, Local Land Charges, and Water Companies.
This general service became available in February 2001, and Kirklees has
been able to offer responses to electronic searches since June 2001. This
method of submitting a search means a quicker turnaround time, and the various
NLIS channels offer discounts on full search fees.
