Planning enforcement complaint form

Planning (planning.contactcentre@kirklees.gov.uk) Last updated - October 2011

About enforcement complaints

Use this form if you would like us to investigate a possible breach of the planning rules.

The name and address of any complainant will be kept confidential, although if you decide to comment on any subsequent planning applications these comments will be available for the public to read.

Before filling in the form you may wish to check planning applications online. You can check to see if planning consent has been approved or if a condition has been placed on that planning consent. This will help you to make your complaint more specific.

Please provide as much information as possible. This will help us to provide a more efficient service when dealing with your complaint.

What happens after you submit this form

  • We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days.
  • We will visit the site within 21 days (sooner in more urgent cases).
  • After we have investigated we will tell you if no breach of planning control has taken place, or what action we propose to take.
