Lisa Akester

Project officer

Lisa is part of the original team that developed the Auntie Pam’s service. She manages the everyday operational business of Auntie Pam’s in Dewsbury and Huddersfield. She is responsible for recruiting, training and supporting the peer volunteers, and has overall responsibility for ensuring that Auntie Pam’s delivers a gold standard service.

She also works with partners in other services and organisations to ensure that the needs of mum’s-to-be in Kirklees are a part of their service planning and delivery. Lisa is a member of staff in the Public Health Directorate of Kirklees Council, and supports Public Health with parenting, volunteering and training advice.

Diane Hardgreaves

Assistant project officer

Diane oversees the Auntie Pam’s centre in Queensgate Market. She supports volunteers, ensures that the centre is well resourced and it is ready for visitors. Diane regularly supports clients, and as our most experienced volunteer was thrilled to become Assistant Project Officer when the new centre opened.

She liaises with other local services and organisations around Huddersfield to create better networks for mum’s-to-be to find the support they need. Diane is a member of staff in the Public Health Directorate of Kirklees Council.
