Understanding your liability order

1. Contact details
These are the contact details for the revenues and benefits service.

2. Date sent
This is the date your liability order was produced.

3. Address of property
This is the address of the property that the overdue amount relates to. This may be different to your postal address.

4. Account number
This is your account number. You should quote this number when you contact the council about your account, or when you make a payment.

5. Total amount due
You must pay this amount immediately or contact the revenues and benefits service to arrange payment. The total amount includes costs that have been added to your account for the court hearing and liability order.

6. About the liability order
Here you will find further information about the liability order and what you need to do next. It also tells you what action the council could take if you do not pay the amount shown.
