2. Address of property (if different)
This is the address of the property that the over amount relates to. This may be different to your postal address.
3. Account number
This is your account number. You should quote this number when you make a payment, or contact us about your account.
4. Details of your court hearing
This gives you details of the court hearing; date, time and location. Your case will be heard by the
Huddersfield Magistrates' Court. If you want to attend, you should try to arrive at least
15 minutes before the time shown on your summons.
If you can't attend, or would like to speak to someone about your summons, please contact us. Please don t contact the Court directly, their staff
don't have access to your account information and can't make an arrangement with you.
5. Date sent
This is the date the summons was produced.
6. Charge
This shows how the overdue amount for your property is calculated. It will include the year the amounts relate to.
7. Costs
This is the amount which has been added to your bill for the cost of preparing a court summons.
8. Total amount due
This is the amount you must pay immediately to prevent court action. At the hearing, we will ask the Magistrates to grant a liability order, which gives us powers to recover unpaid business rates in other ways including the use of bailiffs.
If you are unable to pay the full amount before the hearing, please contact us immediately and we'll do our best to help such as agree a payment plan with you.
