Where can I find information on sports pitches?
There are a large number of sports pitches available for hire to play football,
rugby, cricket and hockey at locations throughout the District. For advice
on locations closest to you and their suitability for your needs please
contact us.
How can I hire a football/rugby/cricket/hockey
pitch?
Firstly you should check the availability of the sports pitch you wish to
hire, then you can print the parks
and recreation ground booking form (PDF 66kb) complete it and send it
to the Leisure and Recreation Service. You can also download the booking
terms and conditions (PDF 44kb).
Alternatively you can contact us to request a form and it will be posted to you.
Are sports pitches available
for competitions?
Yes, sports pitches are available for competitions. However, availability
does depend on other commitments for the pitch in question. For advice on
locations closest to you, their availability and their suitability for your
needs please contact us.
How can I pay for the hire of
a sports pitch?
Once you have chosen and booked the pitch you wish to play on, you will
be invoiced for the pitch hire after the event. You will then be able to
pay by cheque or postal order. You are advised not to send cash through
the postal system. For more information on the charges for pitch hire and
payment please contact us.
How can I obtain a weather
forcast for a booked game?
If you have any concerns about the status of the pitch you have booked due
to inclement, you can make contact in order to check that the pitch is still
in a playable condition. Please contact us the day before your
game is to be played.
