How to contact us:
What do Councillors do?
Councillors
have three separate jobs. They are:
- the community's local representative
- a Member of the Council taking decisions regarding the provision of
Council Services
- a Member of their political organisation.
The Councillors represent you, the local community, at Council meetings
and are the way in which you can find out about the things which affect
the services in your area.
Where would I find information
on my Councillors?
To find out who your Local Ward Councillors are you can view
Councillor information here on the web site, or contact Members' Services
on 01484 221801. This Service will tell
you which are the Ward Councillors representing your area, and they will
also tell you whether your Ward Councillors have local surgeries at which
you can attend to raise any matters which concern you.
Can I contact my Councillor
by e-mail?
Most of Kirklees Councillors can be contacted by e-mail. View
Councillor details here on the web site, or you can check first by telephoning
Members' Services on 01484 221801 to find
the name of your Councillor and whether that Councillor has an e-mail address.
