The Carers
Gateway offers carers a listening ear, information about services, support
for carers' groups and organisations, a calendar of social and information
events, a resource room for carers and support into work or training.

Carers and Employment?
Action for Carers and Employment (ACE) allows carers to explore training
or employment opportunities.

What is the Carers
Emergency Card?
The Emergency Card is a small card for carers to keep in their pocket, purse,
wallet etc. If you are a carer who has a Carers Emergency Card and you are
taken ill or have an accident, the Emergency Services will know that you
are a carer and they will ensure the person you look after is taken care
of.

How can I request a Carers
Emergency Card?
Providing you are a resident of Kirklees, just fill in the online
registration form. Your Kirklees Carers Emergency Card will then be
sent to you within 3 - 4 weeks. Alternatively, print the form out, fill
it in and post to our freepost address:
